The whole idea that Oswald would store his rifle in Ruth Paine's garage without telling her is ridiculous. He would have told her if for no other reason than to establish his ownership of it.

Possession is 99% of the law. Right? So, if it was in her garage, and they didn't have an understanding that it belonged to him, that meant it belonged to her. And she could have done anything she wanted with it. She could sell it. She could give it away. What was stopping her? If he never said a word to her before leaving it there, then he had no right to complain.

And when did he store it in her garage? Did he do it before he moved to New Orleans? But how? His wife wasn't living with Ruth Paine at the time. What access did he have to Ruth's garage? Did he do it when Marina made the move back to Dallas from New Orleans? He couldn't have because he wasn't any part of it. Marina left with Ruth, and he stayed behind in New Orleans.

Did he do it after he moved back to Dallas from New Orleans? But, that would mean that he had the rifle with him the whole time in New Orleans. Where did he leave it when he supposedly went to Mexico? And then he brought it back with him to Dallas on the bus? Is that the story?

And then he snuck it into Ruth Paine's garage after Marina was living there? But why? He had a room. He lived somewhere. Why didn't he keep his rifle with him at the place that he lived? What possible reason could he have had to secretively store his rifle in Ruth Paine's garage without telling her?

What if Ruth Paine didn't like the idea? And Michael Paine said he came across the rifle several times when he was doing things in the garage. So, if Michael Paine kept coming across it, how come Ruth Paine never came across it? Didn't she do things in the garage? It was her garage. Furthermore, when Michael Paine came across this blanket that had objects wrapped up in it which he thought were tent poles belonging to the Oswald's, why didn't he mention it to Ruth? Why didn't he ask her about it?

"Hey, Ruthie, there is a blanket in the garage with some objects wrapped up in it. What is that?"

But, he never asked. He's in his wife's garage; he's moving the thing around. He knows it's not his; he doubts that it's hers. And yet, he doesn't ask?

And according to Ruth Paine, Marina also knew that Lee had stored his rifle in her garage without telling her. I wonder how that conversation went.

Lee: I'm going to store my rifle in Ruth's garage.

Marina: Why? You've got a room. Leave it in the closet.

Lee: Nah. Think I'll leave it here.

Marina: Why?

Lee: I dunno.

Marina: You are going to ask her first, right?

Lee: Nah.

Marina: Why not?

Lee: I dunno.

Marina: What do you mean you don't know?

Lee: Well, maybe she wouldn't want me to.

Marina: Well, if you think that, then why would you want to leave it here?

Lee: I dunno.

And where in the record did Marina confirm that she knew Lee had stored his rifle in Ruth's garage without telling her? Don't you think it was important to find out if that was true?

And why did Ruth and Marina have a falling out? And it is a falling out that has continued for 52 years. What about all that charity of Ruth housing Marina and feeding her and even paying her medical expenses? How does a separated woman raising two children and depending on her husband for support have the means to support another family? What separated husband would go along with that?

The Paines: I say indict them.
