They also messed with his chin, softening the long, pointy, Jay Leno type chin that Lovelady had, which you can see on the right. Can't you see that it looks different on the left, being much less jutting and less prominent?
But, I have one more charge to make: His hair: I suspect it's fake. Now, keep in mind that what we see on the right is also fake. The FBI gave him that short, stubby crewcut in order to match the hairline that they gave Doorman from the 1957 photo of Young Lovelady.
But, I would suggest to you that the slick, plastered down strands we see on 1967 Lovelady on the left could easily have been added.
Is that really his hair? Sparse as it was, what would cause it to lay down so flat? What, did he slick it down with Brylcream?
Even when you've only got little hair on top, it still has some body.
You see how even the scanty hair sticks up a little. So, why this?
I'm not saying that he couldn't get the hair to do it, but why would he? It wouldn't do it by itself.
So, that may just be some fake black streaking that they added just to give him some hair that he didn't have.
It's just an utterly fake photo, and I am appalled. It is the handiwork, that is, the devilcraft, of CBS News. But, at the end of day, they didn't even use it. Someone with sense realized, "we can't sell Lovelady as Doorman, and we're just going to worsen the situation if we try."
