The people who maintain that Jack Ruby deliberately and consciously went to that garage to shoot Oswald are being very obtuse. And it's because of what he did right before that, which is to go to Western Union to send a $25 money order to Karen Carlin. And he put his dog in the car to do that. It is absolutely impossible that he thought, "I think I'll take my dog along on this errand to send the money order to Karen and then  kill Oswald."  You can't juxtapose the two things.

"Let's see: I need to pick up the dry cleaning, do the grocery shopping, return the books to the library, and kill Oswald."

Murder tends to be all-encompassing. It 's not  something on your errand list. Ruby's behavior, his actions, evince his mind-set, and his mind-set tells us that he had no thoughts of murder.

And, the irony is that although he was convicted of premeditated murder and sentenced to death, based on the case made by the prosecutor, Henry Wade, it is the case made by the defense, which lost, that became the official story. By 1979 when that tv  movie Ruby and Oswald was made, which included Jim Leavelle playing himself and serving as technical adviser, the depiction was that Ruby had a sudden mental breakdown when he shot Oswald, and he wasn't aware of what he was doing. They made it that cops told him in the elevator that he shot Oswald, and Ruby acted surprised.

And what it means that that the whole idea that Ruby had a "motive" to kill Oswald is ridiculous because no one has a motive for something they don't plan to do and do by sudden impulse.

So coming up with a motive for Ruby was truly backwriting, and it wasn't done by Ruby; it was done by his lawyer Tom Howard, who came up with the "saving Jackie a trip to Dallas" excuse.

It also means that the whole "he did it because the Mafia  threatened to kill his sister" bull shit is just that: bull shit. And the people who believe it are like Pavlov dogs.

But, the idea that he would have had a sudden impulse to shoot Oswald in Dallas Police surroundings is also ridiculous because he had so much deference for the Dallas Police.   He revered them.  They were his heroes.  The very idea of usurping them would have been foreign  to both his conscious and subconscious mind. He simply could not have done it. It wasn't him to do it, compulsively or otherwise.

I am sure I am right about this, that Ruby got to the garage early, being lured there by the Karen Carlin ruse, and I do mean to say that she was put up to asking him for the advance. But, that only got him as far as the Western Union office. They had to get him to the garage, and they certainly couldn't leave it up to chance. so, they used pharmaceuticals to turn him into a Pavlov dog. And then, all it took was a little suggestion. Somebody at the WU office must have suggested that he check out the action at the Main Street ramp, and someone at the ramp must have suggested, and perhaps only by gesturing, that he go down the ramp.  They played him like an instrument.

Is this going to come to the fore in my lifetime?  Probably not. But, the genie is out of the bottle on this, and she ain't going back inside. Jack Ruby has a destiny to be exonerated. He will be.
