Let's compare the boy in the doorway with Oswald in the doorway.

Note first of all that with Oswald there is no door. He is not peeking out from behind that column the way the boy is peeking out from behind that door. Oswald is nowhere near that column; it just looks like he is.

And the only door involved is the door behind him. But that door has nothing to do with anything. It might as well not be there. It could be there or not be there, and it wouldn't change a thing. It is having absolutely no effect on his posture or balance; it's irrelevant.

So, there is an inherent disconnection between the two images, since one involves a door and the other doesn't.

The odds are very great that the boy has got his right hand against the back of the door and his left hand against the front edge of the door. And I can absolutely guarantee you that he is holding on with at least one hand, and probably two. He is obtaining support from the door. But, Oswald isn't obtaining support from anything. He's got his hands clasped together in front, but since there is no weight-bearing through the hands, it doesn't matter. It's not holding him up or contributing to his support.

I've got lines drawn to demonstrate the axis of the spine on each of them. Imagine that we were looking at each of them on an x-ray. That is approximately how each of their spines would look on the x-ray. I can't demonstrate the slight right rotation in Oswald's spine.

Again, Oswald is balanced; he is getting no external support from anything, and his head is over his spine in a balanced way. The boy is NOT balanced; he is definitely holding on to the door for support and would not be doing what he's doing without getting the support. The door is intricately involved in what he is doing. But, Oswald had no door. The boy has got a lot of bending going on in his spine; Oswald does not. But, we are not seeing what the boy is doing below. He probably has his left knee bent and his right knee extended, which is helping to position him, but obviously, Doorman is not doing that. He is just standing there watching the motorcade with his hands clasped in front.

You can't compare the two images and say that they are the same. They aren't remotely the same. The boy is all wrapped up with that door, whereas Oswald is free-standing and has no door.
