Babushka Lady didn't take a Polaroid photo. Her photo was converted into a Polaroid photo. 

They've admitted converting the Polaroid to film. So, they definitely went from Polaroid to film. So, why couldn't they go from film to Polaroid? If nothing else they could have made an enlargement of Babushka's image and then taken a Polaroid of it.
