Everything is digital today, and here's a video on how to convert a digital photo into a Polaroid:

Of course, there was no digital technology back in 1963, but the idea that they couldn't convert a standard photo into a Polaroid if they wanted to is ridiculous. 

Look at all they did to the Zapruder film? They didn't have digital technology for that either, but they did it. 

Converting a regular photo to a Polaroid was too difficult? You're going to have to think of a better excuse than that.
