And speaking of Oswald standing in the doorway, it's amazing how many people admit it now. Just yesterday, Steve Haydon admitted that he's warm to the idea. He was singing the praises of this Sean Murphy, who like Charles Wallace, has been advocating it for a long time. Even Jim DiEugenio has joined the club, and so have others.

So, you see, Backes? You were wrong. Oswald wasn't "somewhere in the building" at some unknown spot or wandering around aimlessly during the shooting. He was in the doorway, and these people admit it.

I tried to tell you that when you don't know WHERE Oswald was in that vast building, you don't know THAT he was in that vast building. If he could have been here, there, or the other place, then he also could have stepped outside.

And that's especially true in this case because we are only talking about barely stepping outside. We're talking about just a few feet outside, on that landing. One guy suggested that Doorman may have been holding onto the door with one hand. I don't believe that, but it shows you that he was just a few feet from the mantle.

This symphony of voices now saying that Oswald was indeed outside in that doorway is indeed refreshing. After all: consider the name of this blog: Oswald in the doorway. And here they are admitting that Oswald, indeed, was in the doorway. They want to argue about who he was in the doorway, but they're admitting that he was, indeed, there. Think about what this means:

It means that they are confirming that Oswald telling Fritz that he was "out with Bill Shelley in front" meant exactly what we have been contending, that Oswald was out on the landing and not far from Bill Shelley. Check.

It means that all those claims that Oswald was "eating lunch with other employees" or "sitting in the lunch room drinking a Coke" or "getting change from Geniva Hine" (which is a new doozey from that colorful Robert Groden) are forever dashed.

Look how far we've come with all these people now admitting that Oswald was in the doorway after all!

Of course, they say he was Prayer Man and we see he was Doorman.  But, let's put Oswald in the middle and put Prayer Man and Doorman on each side of him. It never hurts to compare.

Who matches better? Whose clothes match better? Whose build matches better? Which two have the long, slender face as opposed to the one with the short wide face? Which two have a long neck, and which one has a short bull neck? Which two look like they weigh about 130 pounds and which one looks like he weighs a good 160 or more? Which one is the odd man out?

Of course, they lose this battle, but the thing is: they don't get to take back Oswald in the doorway. They have already admitted to it, to the feasibility of him being there. They have already accepted it in principle. And they don't get to take it back just because they can't survive the comparison. They've already confessed that there is not a whit of problem with Oswald being in the doorway. And there isn't. In fact, there is no place else he could possibly be. He wasn't in the Domino room eating because he did that earlier in eyeshot (his) of Jarman and Norman. And he wasn't drinking a Coke in the lunch room because he didn't get his Coke until AFTER his encounter with Truly and Baker. You don't think he was so much of a Coke fiend as to have two Cokes in two minutes, do you?

So, Oswald wasn't eating, and Oswald was not drinking during the shots. So, unless you think he was moving his bowels, it doesn't leave anything else for him to be doing except watching the motorcade. He brought no book to read. He brought no puzzle to work. He wasn't writing a love letter to Marina or to Judyth or to both of them. He wasn't wandering aimlessly around the building. He was outside watching the President just like most everybody else who worked there. And now it's widely admitted by a growing number of people, including Jim DiEugenio, the head of CTKA. Our progress is exceeding even my expectations.
