But, I am grateful to Richard Charnin, and this was my posted response to him:
- You make a good point, Richard. And where do people get off just assuming that Oswald wouldn't go outside, that, unlike others, he had no inclination to view JFK? That he would rather sit alone in a lunch room doing nothing than see JFK? Remember that when Baker arrived Oswald was on the move; he was walking through the lunch room. And he had no Coke. Truly said the same. It was afterwards that Mrs. Reid reported that he had a "full" Coke. So, Oswald got the Coke after his encounter with Truly and Baker. But that was multiple minutes after 12:30 and has no bearing whatsoever on what Oswald was doing at the time of the shots. So, Oswald was not eating at the time of the shots; that came earlier. And he was not drinking at the time of the shots; that came later. So, what was he doing at the time of the shots? He was standing outside.
