Richard Hooke keeps saying that Oswald did no shooting, as if that takes care of everything. As long as he didn't fire, he's good. But, think about how that would play in court if he were on trial. Do you think the prosecutors would buy it?

And, let's remember that at no time did Oswald admit to any of this. I mean after his arrest. He never admitted to ANY involvement in the assassination, not as a good guy and not as a bad guy. If if in 46 hours of custody and 13 hours of interrogation, he didn't say a word about any of the things RIchard Hooke is claiming, why assume that he ever was going to?

Some have suggested that FBI Agent James Hosty was the one Oswald informed about the assassination. They claim that the handwritten note that Oswald left for Hosty at the FBI office in Dallas concerned the assassination, and that's the reason why Hosty later destroyed it.

But, wait a second. At his first interrogation, Oswald was sitting in a room with Hosty and Bookhout and Fritz. You know what they were accusing him of. If Oswald knew he had given Hosty something in writing which exonerated him, how could he not bring it up?

"Hosty! You know very well who I am. You know very well that I went to your office, and I left you a note in which I explained that a CIA hit team was going to kill the President on November 22. I was trying to stop it, and you know it. There is a record of my having visited your office, and your secretary will testify that I left you a handwritten message.  That message exonerates me. I did all I could to stop this. You know very well that I am an FBI informant working under-cover. Now, you tell these bastards to get these fucking hand-cuffs off me right now."

Wouldn't Oswald have said something like that to Hosty in front of the others? But, he didn't. Instead, he just chewed Hosty out for visiting his wife without his permission. Who cares about that at a time like that if Hosty could vouch for him and get him off the hook?

So, let's imagine that Ruby didn't kill Oswald. Let's imagine that the Dallas Police were smart enough to just move him without making a public announcement. Say, they did it in the dark of night without any fan-fare. In fact, let's say that they made a false announcement that he wasn't going to be moved, and then after he was moved, they said they changed their minds.  So, Oswald gets moved, and he's still alive.

So, when does Oswald come clean. At what point was he going to say to police:

"Look, most of what I told you up to now was a lie. I actually didn't take the bus and cab. I actually got into a car, a Nash Rambler, with Mac Wallace and David Sanchez Morales. And before that, I was up on the 6th floor with Wallace and Ruth Ann Martinez and this guy named Loy Factor, who is Indian. I even had my rifle- and I know I denied owning that rifle, but I'm here to tell you now that it's mine- and I had ammunition. And I was set to shoot the President myself, according to what they expected of me.  But, I slipped away from them, and they didn't notice it, fortunately. And I hid my rifle on the 4th floor. Oh, and I left some empty shells just for good measure. And then I went downstairs. And not having eaten lunch, I decided to partake in the lunch room, and I believe Carolyn Arnold saw me. I know I could have used that time to try to save the President's life, but what can I say? I was really hungry. In fact, I barely had any breakfast that morning. Cup of coffee and a bran muffin. That's it. I kid you not."

"And then I got downstairs, and pretty soon I could see the motorcade approaching from Houston, which was going slow. But, I stayed way back in the doorway because, to be truthful, I've got this aversion to blood. I knew there was going to be blood-splatter and even brain-splatter, and I didn't want that stuff raining down on me. Can you blame me? But, I did pay my last respects to the President. And I was hoping that somebody would do something to stop it. I even crossed my fingers. But, you couldn't expect me to do anything. Right?"

"Hey! I sent a telex. I made a call. So, I did all I could. I'm not James Bond. I'm not that kind of espionage agent."

"Then afterwards, since the perps didn't notice that I had abandoned my post on the 6th floor, I continued on with them by car. It was me and Mac Wallace and David Sanchez Morales hightailing it out of Dealey Plaza in a Nash Rambler, which happened to belong to Ruth Paine. We dropped them off, and then I made my way to the Texas Theater alone. Why?  Because they told me to go there. Why did I continue following their orders? I don't know; it seemed like the right thing to do at the time."

"And after that, we were going to fly off together to Mexico to a hideout of theirs. And I would have done it if I hadn't been arrested at the theater. Who's going to pass on a trip to Mexico in November?"

"And if you are wondering why I have been withholding all this until now and lying through my teeth, all I can say is, look: I DIDN'T KILL KENNEDY. I DIDN'T SHOOT HIM. I WAS NOT THE TRIGGER MAN. Isn't that all that matters?"

"Look, there is a guy named Richard Hooke who says that I deserve a medal for not killing Kennedy. He says that I should get the Medal of Honor. He says that I'm a hero- because I chose not to kill Kennedy."

"Hey, I could have shot Kennedy. I had the means. I had the opportunity. But, I passed. I declined. That tells you the kind of person I am: a hero."

"So, I trust that takes care of everything. Now, if you would be so kind as to remove these handcuffs, I'll be on my way. I have to rejoin my family. I need to say goodbye to them because I'm running off to to Mexico with my lover, Judyth Baker."
