This is an open letter to Dr. Cyril Wecht. If anyone knows him or has a way of reaching him, would you bring this to his attention? Thank you.

Dear Dr. Wecht,

I have been thinking of you since your friend Mark Lane joined the Oswald Innocence Campaign. I saw the two of you on Geraldo recently discussing the JFK assassination. You, as I recall, spoke mostly about the Single Bullet Theory and how preposterous it is. You did as good a job as anyone could at denouncing it.

However, I feel compelled to tell you that it did not accomplish anything; it did not change anything. As soon as you were finished and sent away, Geraldo had the last word, and he said that we're just going to have to accept the fact that this low-life drifter Lee Harvey Oswald shot our beloved President. Then it was over, and all was safe and well in the world of JFK officialdom.

And, it's not your fault. Nobody else could have done any better with that issue. The problem is: that issue. The Single Bullet Theory is a dead issue. It is incapable of generating an emotional reaction in anyone any more. Years ago, they devoted a whole episode of Seinfeld to mocking it as: The Magic Loogie.  They had their own Zapruder film, their own Arlen Specter routine with the pointer showing the trajectory of the spitball. It was hilarious. Here's a clip from it:

Doctor, we are never going to win with the Single Bullet Theory, The SBT is in a stalemate, and it is going to stay in a stalemate. It's just ho-hum JFK debating; that's all it is.

But imagine if, instead, you had told Geraldo on national television:

"Geraldo, I can tell you with certainty that Lee Harvey Oswald was innocent because he was standing in the doorway of the Book Depository at the time of the shooting. We can see him there, plain as day, in the Altgens photo. We can see his very distinctive outer shirt, which was unbuttoned and sprawled open, and which had the lay of a jacket. We can see his v-shaped t-shirt, which was deformed from his tugging on it. We can identify his ear, his chin, and more. The Man in the Doorway of the Altgens photo was definitely Oswald, and unless you can tell me how a man can be up on the 6th floor and down in the doorway at the same time, it's over. Oswald has an alibi; he was watching the motorcade when President Kennedy got shot."

And then you show this collage:

They are even clasping their hands in front the exact same way. Tell me: could Geraldo follow that with his little spiel about how we have to accept that this low-life drifter shot our beloved President? I dare say he would come across as insane.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Pay no attention to the spot-on match between Doorman and Oswald. Exact same thing.

If you'd like to see this won in your lifetime, you need to go with the Doorman issue. It's the ace in our hand. And I assure you, the other side knows it. There are 6 hate sites that I know of set up to attack this, and there may be more. I just discovered the 6th one yesterday. They are not doing this for any other JFK issue. This is the one that has them scared. This is the one that can topple the whole edifice. Nothing else even comes close.

Dr. Wecht, please consider joining the Oswald Innocence Campaign. There is no cost or obligation. The only requirement is to endorse the members' statement below. Our central tenet, that Oswald was standing in the doorway at the time of the shots, is now proven beyond any doubt. To see the evidence concisely presented, you can visit our website: www.oswald-innocent.com.

It is our move, Dr. Wecht. We have the means to demolish a 50 year old state lie. Doorway Man is the means. Will you join us? Thank you.

Respectfully,

Ralph Cinque

Members' Statement

We, the members of the Oswald Innocence Campaign, maintain that at the time of President Kennedy's assassination, Lee Harvey Oswald was standing in the doorway of the Texas School Book Depository, where he was photographed by James "Ike" Altgens, which is clearly evident upon close examination of the photograph. This discovery categorically exonerates Oswald from having shot the President. We call upon the media to renounce the official story that impugns him--including the "Magic Bullet" theory, which is a conspiratorial fabrication--and we demand that the American government cease obstructing justice by promoting a gross falsehood, based on lies, which has allowed the true killers to remain free, unindicted, and unpunished.
