Lovelady said that he didn't get back to the TSBD until 4:30. That's after having left for City Hall at 1:45. He only had provide a short statement about what he saw, so why did it take so long? It's because the wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly, and this was hardly a priority. So, with that in mind, do you really think that starting out from the TSBD at 12:45 that in just 15 minutes Lovelady could be perched at a desk in the Squad room of the Homicide Division? In 15 minutes?
They had to leave the TSBD, get to the police cars, drive to City Hall, park, make their way into the building through the throng of people, decide where these witnesses needed to go to be processed, and then somebody would have had to lead Lovelady through the awful maze of that crowded building to the Homicide Division to place him at that desk. Do you really think that all of that happened in 15 minutes?
Well, if it did, then why was Lovelady there until nearly 4:30? How could they get him from the TSBD to that Squad room in just 15 minutes only to have him languish there until 4:30? Nothing happened that fast- certainly not for Lovelady. He was no priority. He was still there until 4:30 because he, like the others, did a lot of waiting around. The idea that they could have, or would have, gotten him to that Squad room in just 15 minutes, including road time, is ridiculous. This picture is fake. It isn't Billy Lovelady, and Billy wasn't there- not at 2 PM or at any other time.
