I received a message from a friend, and he expressed his support for Oswald's complete innocence. Not just that he was a non-shooter but that he was in no way an accomplice of the killers, and not even a fake accomplice who was pretending to go along with them, both before and after, as Richard Hooke maintains. That really is slander against Oswald.

But, this friend brought up the "abort team" idea, and I have to ask the people who believe in the abort team idea what they think the abort team could have done. Obviously, no abort team arrived, but what if one had? What do you think would have happened? Would they have gotten into a gun fight with the other team? Would it have been like the shootout at the OK Corral? Would they have made contact with the assassination team and ordered them to abort or persuaded them to abort? Tell me what you think they could have done to accomplish the abort.

I don't see any way that an "abort team" could have been effective other than to do what I have been suggesting all along: GO OUT INTO ELM STREET AND STOP THE MOTORCADE FROM PROGRESSING. As a last minute tactic, that was the only recourse.

And of course, it was also available to Oswald if he was in the doorway and aware of what was about to happen.

So, you didn't even need an abort team. All you needed was an abort guy. One guy. That's all it would have taken. One guy to walk out into the street and get in the way.
