How likely is it that the New Orleans Police tortured Oswald by pinching his chin? The claim is that they pinched his chin so hard that he had visible scars there three months later in Dallas.

First, try to pinch your own chin. You'll find that it's hard to do because there isn't that much loose skin there to grab. Do you think you could pinch it hard enough to break the skin? You'd have to do that to have any chance of leaving a scar, right?

But, what about the whole idea of police torturing someone by pinching? Pinching? I could see slapping or punching, but pinching? In the entire history of law enforcement, has the pinch ever been used as a means of torture?

The record shows that the New Orleans Police wanted Oswald to pay his $10 fine and leave. They did not want to keep him overnight. But, Oswald refused to leave until he saw an FBI agent. So, they kept him overnight, and the next day, Oswald was visited by an FBI agent named John Quigley. Here is Quigley's testimony to the Warren Commission. Do you think he was hiding the fact that Oswald was tortured by pinching?

When Oswald was released, he went immediately to the newspaper office to seek coverage of his story. Do you think he had open wounds on his face at the time from the pinching?

And remember that Oswald was living with Marina at the time in New Orleans, and he went home to her that night. Wouldn't she have noticed if her husband had been traumatized on his face/

Four days later, Oswald was on the radio doing an interview and debate, and there is an image of him from that. Do you see any signs of trauma to his chin?

What should we do with this claim that Oswald was tortured by pinching by the New Orleans Police?

We should categorically reject it. I reject it, and I urge you to reject it too.

What about the marks on Oswald's chin in Dallas? They were probably just peri-oral acne lesions, the kind that millions get.

Credulity is defined as the readiness or willingness to believe especially on slight or uncertain evidence. There is no place for credulity in JFK assassination research. You have to be a smart researcher and a mature one. And you don't want to follow immature people. These are people who never grow up. They remain children forever. They have zest and enthusiasm galore. They are brimming with over-confidence. And they tend to be manic. Stay away from these people.

Here is proof that Oswald was not tortured by pinching by New Orleans Police. It's his New Orleans mug shot.

A mug shot is taken right away when they are processing you. You can see the marks on Oswald's chin, and they look similar to the marks seen in Dallas at the time of his arrest there. But notice that they don't look like fresh raw wounds. If they had just tortured him, the wounds would be fresh and raw and red. But they're not. The marks look exactly the same as they did in Dallas. There is no way that these are fresh wounds from torture that had just been done to him. The whole idea that Oswald was tortured by New Orleans Police is ridiculous.
