I'm all for caution and restraint when it comes to making claims. That's because we've already got it won. We have two images of Oswald in the doorway right during the shooting; one taken by James Altgens and the other by Dave Wiegman.

There is nothing more powerful than this in the whole JFK assassination evidence pile, and there is nothing more that we need. So, why would we risk harming our credibility by endorsing something that was iffy, that might be false, and which our enemies might be able to use to discredit us?

In truth, the number of mistakes we can afford to make is zero because even with one mistake, our enemies will jump on it, and they will characterize our entire body of work in terms of that mistake. It's like giving them a slow soft pitch right down the middle of the plate.

If you're the quarterback, and your team is three touchdowns ahead, you don't throw a Hail Mary. The other quarterback might, but not you.

So, I'm all for us being extremely cautious and conservative in our claims, and to err on the side of less and not more.

But, when it comes to John Armstrong and the Two Oswalds, there is nothing iffy about it. There is nothing radical about it. That there were two Lee Harvey Oswalds growing up at the same time is a documented fact. When I say documented, I mean things like this:

-that there are public school records for Lee Harvey Oswald attending one grade school in New York City, while also attending a different grade school in New York City. And why would New Orleans born Lee Harvey Oswald even be in New York City?

-that there are public school records of Lee Harvey Oswald attending Beauregard Junior High in New Orleans and also public school records of him attending Stripling Junior High in Ft. Worth. But, officialdom only recognizes Beauregard and denies Stripling ever happened. But, John Armstrong visited Stripling and talked to the Vice Principal and one of the teachers there who distinctly remembered Oswald going there. The Vice Principal said that the FBI showed up to confiscate his records immediately after the assassination.

- there are documented records of Lee Harvey Oswald working for two different freight companies in New Orleans at the same time.

- there is Palmer McBride who worked with Lee Harvey Oswald at the Pfisterer Dental Lab in New Orleans in  late 1957 and early 1958 at a time when Lee Harvey Oswald was officially in Japan- and was in Japan; no doubt. Palmer and Harvey not only worked together but they did things together outside of work, such as attend the meetings of a local astronomy club.  Detractors have tried to claim that McBride got the year wrong, that he worked with Oswald at Pfisterer in 1956 and before the month of October, which was when Lee entered the Marines. But, imagine if somebody did that to you. Where were you and what were you doing in 1994? Even if you have to think about it some, you would definitely come to realize where you were and what you were doing that year. Now imagine somebody telling you that you're wrong, that you don't know where you were and what you were doing that year  but they do. That's what Palmer McBride had to go through.

-the official story denies that Oswald ever went to Taiwan as a Marine, but John Armstrong found a Marine record of a Lee Harvey Oswald boarding the USS Skagit bound for Taiwan on September 14, 1958. And, it was confirmed by two people: a fellow Marine, William K. Trail, and Oswald's supervisor, Lt. John Donovan, both of whom also knew Harvey at Santa Ana. Donovan recalled Harvey taking a lot of photos in Taiwan of aircraft, bunkers, etc. and some of these photos from Taiwan were found among Oswald's possessions in Dallas. John Armstrong found the Marine Corps Unit Diary, #158-58, which lists Lee Harvey Oswald being in Ping Tung, Taiwan on October 6, 1958.  From September 14 until October 6, Harvey Oswald was in Taiwan while Lee Oswald was in Japan, and there are medical records of Lee receiving treatment in Japan during that time. How can a man be in two different places at the same time?

This is just a smattering of the evidence that John Armstrong presents in Harvey and Lee. When you look at it in the aggregate, it is staggering and overwhelming. There simply is no doubt that there were two boys and young men named Lee Harvey Oswald who were living separate lives and leaving separate paper trails. And until now, I haven't even mentioned the photographic evidence of two Oswalds. The two of them looked alike, but they were not identical. There is a substantial photographic record of the two Oswalds, although it is far more abundant for Lee than for Harvey until the age of 19. The last image we have of Lee is from when he was 19, which was 1958. After that, the photographic record is all Harvey, with none of Lee.

Lee was 2 inches taller, and he was also a lot stockier, with a thick, tubular bull neck. It's not like anyone close to either one would have had any trouble distinguishing the other.

You should read Harvey and Lee by John Armstrong.  It is surely one of the most important books ever written about the JFK. assassination. And what you can do immediately is peruse the Harvey and Lee website. It's run by Jim Hargrove, but John Armstrong works closely with Jim, and much of the writing is John's. Also, you can listen to John's presentations at various JFK conferences in Dallas.

To refute this, one would have to refute all of it. Every last bit of it. No one has even tried to do that.

I shall close with something the late great Jack White posted on Education Forum in 2010:

So that even the strangest among this group can understand:

The CIA had a SECRET operation, a false defector program.

The ORIGINAL Marguerite Oswald volunteered to lend the
IDENTITY of her son LEE HARVEY OSWALD to the government.
To do this, she took LEE HARVEY OSWALD to New York City.

There they met two strangers who were to assume their identities.
This was SECRET.

These were a SECOND Marguerite and a SECOND Lee Harvey
Oswald. From that point onward, the two sets of Oswald
mothers and sons LIVED PARALLEL LIVES, creating parallel
records WHICH CONFLICTED...but were very similar.

This was done IN SECRET. Each Marguerite used the name
Marguerite. Each son used the name LEE HARVEY OSWALD.
They were NOT, as some strangely imply, called HARVEY
and LEE. Both boys were called LEE HARVEY OSWALD.

Each set knew and knew of the other set. Probably
close family members were in on the secret, such as Robert Oswald,

who surely knew which Marguerite was his mother and which not,
and which Lee Harvey Oswald was his brother and which not.

Each set (son and mother) made sure to leave records
in Fort Worth and New Orleans...such as school records and
employment records THAT WERE SIMILAR. It was all a
program of building a LEGEND for the two pairs that was
similar.

John Armstrong CLEARLY PROVES THE ABOVE to any
person of intelligence.
