DAVID VON PEIN SAID:

Nobody who was standing on the TSBD steps would ever say they were "in the building". That's nuts. The steps are OUTSIDE the front door, for Pete sake [see photo below].

That photo is deceptive. It does not convey the DEPTH of that doorway as it really is. Remember: the picture is two dimensional; but, the space is three dimensional.

I've been to that doorway- enough times that I can practically say "numerous" times. Have you been there, David Von Pein? Because: it is like a cave. The steps are high and deep. And when you're on that landing, you feel like you are in a cave.

Think about being in a cave. Imagine that you're in a cave right now. You're deep in the cave. But, you can see the opening of the cave, and you can see that it's raining outside. You might say to yourself:"I'm sure glad that I'm not outside, that I'm in this cave."

And the analogy fits because if you're standing on the top of that landing, and it's raining cats and dogs, you're not going to feel a drop.

David Von Pein likes to play the "response to the reporter" card as often as he can, as if parsing Oswald's words is going to save his pathetic story (Von Pein's). But, the fact is that the reporter is the one who chose the phrase, not Oswald. What if the reporter had asked:

"Were you outside watching the motorcade at the time, like the others?"

How would Oswald have replied? We don't know, but the point is that Oswald had no reason to make an issue of it with the reporter because: HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT HE HAD HIS PICTURE TAKEN IN THE DOORWAY.

What if he had just gone to the doorway but didn't step outside? Then, he would have been inside the building for sure, right? Well, he would have been just as innocent. He would have been just as far away from the 6th floor.

The distinction about him being in the doorway is NOT that it was "outside." It's that his picture was taken there. But, he didn't know it.

But, when alone with police and asked where he was during the shooting (and surely they asked him for his alibi because the police always do) he said he was "out with Bill Shelley in front."

David, it is the most important piece of evidence to be discovered in the JFK case since November 22, 1963.

"Out with Bill Shelley in front" IS Oswald's alibi. And like every defendant, he is entitled to declare his alibi. And since he's not here to do it, we, the Oswald Innocence Campaign, are doing it for him.

During the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald was standing in the doorway- just clasping his hands.
