It's interesting that Ruth Paine said that she went out into the garage the night of the 21st to paint some children's blocks.
So, she did things in the garage. She used the garage. It was her garage.
So, how could she not have come across the rifle if it was stored there?
Michael Paine came across it- and he didn't even live there. And, he said that he moved it, but he never said that he hid it. Why would he? He thought it was camping equipment, remember? Either "tent poles" or maybe a "folding shovel." That's what he said. So, why would he hide it? It's not like he thought it was a rifle. So, he had no reason not to leave it in plain view.
So, with Ruth Paine going in and out of that garage, how did she never come across the blanket?
And there's something else that doesn't make sense. It says in the Warren Report that Marina admitted to police that Oswald owned a rifle but that it was safely stored in the garage. So then, they all went out there, and they saw the blanket lying in a heap on the floor of the garage, and Marina nearly fainted. That's what it says in the Warren Report.
But, previous to that, the Warren Report said that Oswald retrieved the rifle, including dissembling it if necessary, between 8 and 9 PM, and that he retired to bed with his wife at 9 PM. And it was after that that Ruth went out into the garage to paint the children's blocks. And the only thing she noticed askew was that the light was already on- presumably because Lee left it on.
But, why didn't Ruth see the blanket lying in a heap on the floor? If Oswald had already taken care of the rifle, between 8 and 9, and it involved leaving the blanket in a heap on the floor, why didn't Ruth see it?
Folks, NOTHING about the rifle story makes a lick of sense. It is totally, completely preposterous.
