  • Ron Schuster As it turns out, it was not a very well kept secret. Besides those connected people in the deep state establishment (it appeared to be the normal shop talk in those circles), even those outside the deep state establishment, like Milteer, were clued in on the assassination before it happened. I suspect that all the major players in the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) knew in advance, and were preparing to take over all cabinet positions that they did not already occupy. I think that LBJ's entire cabinet was CFR, and they had a running start on the 'new order' which came when JFK was eliminated.

  • Ralph Cinque I am haunted by what I've read about the JFK Cabinet members who were conveniently flown out of the country to Japan or somewhere. And when the head of the Cabinet, Secretary of State Dean Rusk made the announcement over the lourdspeaker on the plane, he ended it upbeat with, "And God bless our new President, Lyndon Baines Johnson." To me, that sounds like someone who had already processed the news and was not caught up in the throes of grief. He was ready to move on. I guess it's true what they say: you can't mourn forever.
