This left arm of Leavelle's isn't real. The joint in it is wrong. The only thing that can cause deviation between the shoulder and the wrist is the elbow, and you know where it is. It isn't high up as it appears in Leavelle's image. There is nothing that could cause the crease, or you could say, the notch that we see there.

Here is me reaching for something with my left arm.

The little folds that you see are just the sleeve bunching up. The only thing affecting the line of the arm is the slight bend in my elbow. And you see where it is: in the middle. The other is impossible.

So, why did they do it? It's because the image was supposedly taken after Oswald was shot, but OSWALD WASN'T REALLY SHOT. There was no trauma to him or his clothes and no blood. So, to explain the complete lack of disruption, they had to cover up the whole area of impact, and with a wide radius, using Oswald's arms and Leavelle's. It's all an act.
