What makes me so sure that the Roy Lewis image in the Altgens photo is fraudulent? It is not the existence of the Willis frame which looks so much like it. That is compelling, but it isn't proof. The proof is contained entirely within the Altgens photo. I am referring to the fact that we can see Doorman's cuff going in front of Roy Lewis' neck, which is impossible.

It's impossible for any part of Doorman to be covering up any part of Roy Lewis. And that's because Doorman was standing way behind him, and way above him, and very much to the east of him. So, why is Doorman's cuff in front of Roy Lewis' neck? 

Nobody has offered a reasonable explanation for it. Joseph Backes keeps saying that it's not Doorman's cuff but rather the rolled-up sleeve of another African-American man who was standing on the sidewalk waving at the President. But, the fact is that that idea has not been endorsed by anybody else- not by bpete nor by any of the others Backes colludes with. It is a ridiculous idea and for multiple reasons.

The "color" of the cuff and sleeve, which I put in quotes because it seems strange to refer to color in a black and white photo, are entirely consistent with Doorman's shirt. Furthermore, if the cuff is actually a tightly rolled-up sleeve, it means that there is bare skin above the roll-up, and that skin is also the same "color" as Doorman's shirt.   

And, where is the rest of this other African-American man? People don't actually raise their arms that high when they wave their hands. Kids do, but not adults. So, if that's his rolled-up sleeve, then his head should be above it. I put an x where his head should be, but wherever you think it should be, it should be at least partly visible, right? How could we only be seeing his forearm? And wouldn't he have to be huge like Andre' the Giant considering the relative size of that forearm? Try drawing in the rest of him to scale and you'll see what I mean. And how could it overlap Doorman's arm coming down from above? Was it a perfect overlay? 

This doesn't complete the list of problems with this harebrained idea, but hopefully you get the idea: it's crazy. Talk about grasping at straws. 

If that is Roy Lewis in the Altgens photo, there is absolutely nothing that should be preventing us from seeing his neck and his torso, including at least one of his arms. But, we can't because Doorman's arm seems to be overlapping him, which was impossible. Hence, it is and must be a fraudulent image. 

Now, if anyone wants to proffer a reasonable explanation for this weird situation, I'm all ears. I'll gladly listen to it. I'll earnestly consider it. But, if no such reasonable explanation is forthcoming, then logic demands that we reject the authenticity of the image because physical impossibilities aren't real- ever.
