Ralph,
Last year, Larry Rivera and I conducted a 60-minute SKYPE interview with Toni Glover.
Toni indicated to us that her mother was indeed standing alongside her on the pedestal on Houston Street. The mom was standing on the ground, but clambered up onto the pedestal as the limousine approached.
In your blog post (below), the first photo of Toni and her mom was taken when they are standing on the pedestal--not on the grass. The two photos you have presented are virtual mirror images photographed from different angles and depicting Toni and her mom standing on the pedestal at Houston and Elm.

Alright, so that settles it then: The woman with Toni was her mother (which makes sense; she would not be standing up there on a pedestal with a stranger). And, unbeknownst to me, in both these images, they were on the pedestal.
So, how does that mesh with the statement Unger put up?
It doesn't mesh. And I have a feeling that if we can do another Skype interview with Toni, she is going to say that she never denied that that was her mother.
