In the Jackson photo, it looks like the bullet should have gone through Oswald's arm. The picture was by Dennis Cimino.

But, Oswald had his arm down just a fraction of a second before, as you can see in the Beers photo. Oswald was clasping his hands in front. That was his thing. He was doing it in the Altgens photo.

So, the idea was that Oswald was shot between the two pictures, and he responded to being shot by slapping his arm to his chest.

But, no one actually does that in real life. It's just something that people do when they're playing. For instance, all the characters at the end of Kill Bill did it, one after the other.

Nobody actually does it in real life. It's just a theatrical thing. It was very popular in Vaudeville, in a comedic way. The idea was that it was a flamboyant, exaggerated death.  But yet, they expect us to believe that Oswald did it in real life. "Oh no! I've been shot!"

In reality, it was horseshit that they came up with to account for the absence of blood and trauma by covering up the area of impact. As I have explained many times, that arm isn't even real. Oswald's hand wasn't that big, and it's not even an anatomical hand. There are only three fingers plus the thumb, and it's the wrong thumb. It's the fingers of the left hand and the thumb of the right hand.

But, Dennis pointed out that there was no visible recoil, which is true, and the Colt Detective Special has a lot of recoil. And there was no muzzle flash except where it was faked in some of the stills. In the films, you don't see any muzzle flash. And it's funny because in the tv movie Ruby and Oswald they went with a lot of muzzle flash.

There was none at the time. And, the Shooter was much closer to Oswald. It was practically a contact shot. And as close as it was, the sweater would have been burnt, and we don't see that either, which Dennis pointed out.
