On the left is from the 1978 tv movie Ruby and Oswald in which Jim Leavelle played himself. He also got paid as a technical advisor. In the film, they made it that Oswald got shot and he fell back on Leavelle's partner. It's not clear if Oswald was ever flat on the ground as he was on Nov 24. And very speedily, Leavelle and his partner pick Oswald up and carry him into the Jail Office.

But, we need to look at this as physicists. Before you can carry someone, you have to support his weight. That means getting your hand underneath him, and not just your hand, but your forearm. That's because his body needs something to rest on. Your hand alone would not be enough. It would not be secure enough. It's not enough surface area to support the weight. You'd have to get your forearm under him, as well. But how, on November 24, could Leavelle do that when he was handcuffed to Oswald? Being handcuffed to Oswald meant that wherever Leavelle's left hand went, Oswald's right hand went too. So, before trying to pick him up, Leavelle would undo the handcuffs. But, he didn't do it in the movie, nor on November 24.  And look how high up on Oswald's body Leavelle's left  arm is on the left. His right arm is under Oswald's back. So, where is his left arm? Is it under Oswald's shoulder? But, how could Oswald's right hand be there as well without causing him a lot of strain and discomfort? And who would do it that way? Nobody would. You would remove the handcuffs before picking him up.

So, it was a strange situation because it made no sense for the cops (or the penguins, as I call them) to take the Shooter anywhere without first cuffing him, which they didn't do. And, it made no sense for Leavelle to try to lift and carry Oswald without first uncuffing him, which he also didn't do.

So, what actually happened on November 24? We never see Leavelle and anyone lifting and carrying Oswald. All we see is pandemonium. Two men carrying another would have been a large object, yet, it's never seen. I believe what happened is that Oswald was faking it, so once a curtain was established, he got up and scurried inside on his own power, but always kept out of sight.

There is something I can show you that supports this contention. That afternoon, Leavelle did an interview with Bill Lord from WFAA, the local ABC affiliate in Dallas. I'll give you the link. Listen to what he says starting at the 4 minute mark. He said he picked up Oswald with the help of another officer, but he doesn't remember who it was.

It was the same day, just a few hours later. so, how could he not remember? And think about it: if they were carrying Oswald together, once they got inside, they had to decide where to put him. They wound up putting him down on the floor. Leavelle must have said to the other: "Let's put him down right here." After that, presumably, Leavelle removed the handcuffs. But after that, it seems like they would have spent time assessing Oswald's condition; trying to talk to him and seeing if they could elicit a response from him; and then, perhaps feeling his pulse? And all the while, Leavelle and the other officer would be talking to each other. So, how could Leavelle not remember who other officer was? It had to be one of Fritz' men; it's not like the guy was a reporter.

Plus, Leavelle referred to him as another officer. He said he couldn't remember who the other officer was who helped him carry Oswald, and the reason he said that is because there was no other officer helping him. He didn't need any help because he didn't carry Oswald, and he couldn't have carried him without first removing the handcuffs that were binding him to Oswald.
