Dale Myers says that the first shot which missed was fired at Zapruder 160, and that John Connally heard it and identified it immediately as a high-powered rifle shot.
So, according to Myers, Connally started turning to his right to look over his right shoulder since it seemed to come from that direction.
Then the second shot hit between Z223 and Z224. And his evidence for Connally having been hit is that his jacket suddenly pops out. From one frame to the next, you see the jacket move.
But, you can't draw such conclusions from the Zapruder film because it was altered. Frames were definitely cut out to hide the slowing and stopping of the vehicle, and frames may have been cut out between Z223 and Z224.
And this, of course, is not a Ralph Cinque idea. Doug Horne, John Costella, Jack White and many other researchers say so.
But, between frame 160 and frame 223, there were 3 1/2 seconds. And, there was more time than that if frames were deleted.
But, my question is: if John Connally was aware at Z160 that they were under attack, why wasn't his first reaction to tell everyone to duck down and to tell the driver to speed away?
I can honestly tell you that if I suddenly became aware that the vehicle was being targeted with gunfire, I would have known to get down and pull Nellie down and yell at everyone to duck and for the driver to speed away. "Gas! Step on it!"
What difference did it make where the shots were coming from? That really didn't matter at all. There was nothing that could be done about it. All that mattered was to take cover and to get the hell out of there.
So, if Connally knew what was happening at Z160, why didn't he respond appropriately?
