This is one of my favorite Academy Award winning songs, from Midnight Cowboy, 1969, in which Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman, in character, forge a most unlikely friendship on the streets of New York. Many people attribute the song to the vocalist who made it famous, Harry Nilsson, who was excellent songwriter. However, it was written by Fred Neil, words and music. The song is Everybody's Talkin' and I thank my good friend Paul Popa for his brilliant guitar playing.
