Just viewed this special, and I must emphasize that this explanation is—sadly-- just another "Red Herring” (like many). Base-line is that the Warren Commission got virtually everything wrong. But now, McLaren takes much of the faulty WC conclusions, and simply adds the hypothesis that a second killer (in addition to Lee Harvey Oswald) was on the scene in the form of one of the Secret Service agents (in the Pres. limo follow-up car, George Hinckley).  The car jerked, the agent fell backwards, and accidentally let off a shot from his AR-15. He buys the ridiculous "Single Bullet Theory," the "Magic Bullet" idea, and even has the wounds in the wrong places on the president's body. And, he disregards plenty of witness testimony to the fact of at least one shooter from the front.  Consistent with this is that he gets most of the bullet trajectories BACKWARDS.

Every one of the Parkland Hospital staff who worked on the president testified that there was a FRONT throat wound, and a rear, large "blow-out" wound in the right rear parieto-occipital area of the cranium (and some mentioned an entrance wound in the right front hairline, so we have a pretty clear trajectory from the right forehead to the large exit wound in the right rear).  And, no, Virgina, there was no rear neck wound (It was in the upper back, around five inches down from the shoulder). The producer MIGHT be right about Agent Hinckley, and he is “on the money” about lots of federal agency control and cover-up after the Kennedy murder--which itself is scandalous--but misses the boat entirely on most issues. Bottom line: it's the same old and awful Warren Commission malarkey with a twist.
