Jim Fetzer has a new article up that was co-written by David Lifton, author of Best Evidence, which concerns the stealing and altering of JFK's body, that is, the "pre-autopsy".

The new article criticizes Dr. Cyril Wecht, who is certainly one of the most visible skeptics of JFK officialdom in the world today.

I, personally, am less enthusiastic about faulting Dr. Wecht than they are. I admit that he falls short of what I wish he would do, which is advocate Oswald innocence. His main take, it seems to me, is to dismiss the Single Bullet Theory because the evidence is clear that JFK was shot from the front. He talks about the "back and to the left" motion of JFK's head, and as a doctor, he dismisses the claim of non-doctors that that motion was a "reflex".

What Jim and David don't like is that Wecht sometimes seems to imply that the front neck wound was an exit wound. And he also, at times, speaks of the back wound as a neck wound when it was well below the neck. It was at the level of T3, and that is not the neck.

He does speak of that wound as being a traversing wound, meaning that it went all the way through Kennedy's body. I don't know how he rationalizes that when Dr. Humes reported that it only went 2 inches deep and then stopped. I think it's very possible that JFK was shot with an ice bullet, which of course, melted. And it may be that there was a stupefying drug in it because Kennedy does seem dazed, like he might have been under the influence of something. But I admit, that's just speculation.

But, if they asked me what my biggest beef is with Cyril Wecht, it's that he doesn't come out staunchy for Oswald innocence. He speaks of there having been another shooter, but he doesn't rule out the possibility that Oswald may have been a shooter. When really pressed, he'll say that he thinks Oswald was probably just a patsy and probably didn't shoot at all. But, he doesn't consider it his duty or responsibility to take a firm stand on that. The main thing he wants his for the case to be re-opened, for there to be yet another government investigation.

I wish that Dr. Wecht would realize that there can never be an honest investigation of the JFK assassination by the government. The government was responsible for the crime and the cover-up, so how can it honestly investigate?

And I wish Dr. Wecht would realize that if there were ANY kind of conspiracy, whether it involved the CIA, the FBI, the Mafia, or anyone else, that they never would have used Oswald as a shooter since he was no assassin. It's not as though they were indifferent to the outcome. Whether he succeeded at killing Kennedy, and whether he did so without killing or maiming anyone else mattered a whole heck of a lot. If you were going to have periodontal surgery, wouldn't you get a highly experienced periodontist? If you were going to get brain surgery, wouldn't you get a highly experienced brain surgeon? Well, this was like the inverse of brain surgery, where the idea wasn't to fix the brain but to blow it up, to do it cleanly, quickly, surely, and without any complications. Who do you get to do a thing like that? Someone who has killed before, right? Someone who was an expert at shooting under such difficult, rapid-fire conditions, right? Well, that wasn't Oswald. Once you arrive at conspiracy, you have to conclude that conspirators never would have chosen Oswald for this grisly task.

So yes, Dr. Cyril Wecht leaves something to be desired. But, if I had to choose between taking him as he is or not having him at all, I would definitely take him as he is.  He does reject the official story, especially the Magic Bullet. He does get a lot of air time, and I mean on the mainstream media, and probably more than any other conspiracy advocate. And I don't have any doubt about his sincerity. He is certainly not a closet LN masquerading as a CT- like some people I know.

So, I'm not really going to join this bandwagon, but I would like to publicly urge Dr. Wecht to visit our website at
www.oswald-innocent.com   and examine the evidence as to why Oswald HAD to be standing outside at the time of the murder, and that there is absolutely no chance that he was up on the 6th floor pumping bullets into Kennedy.
