Is there a sea change going on in the world of JFK? In the last few days, both CNN and Fox have publicly endorsed conspiracy and multiple shooters. What about Posner's Case Closed which they once praised? What about Bugliosi's Reclaiming History which they previously lauded? All gone! Both programs took a decidedly pro-conspiracy angle, that "Oswald did not act alone".

Why are they doing this? I think it's because they know that in 2013 pushing the Warren Report just isn't going to cut it any more. It just won't sell any more. They're trying to win people over not push them away. They know they can't sell that crap.

So, they're tweaking the official story. They still have Oswald up on the 6th floor pumping bullets into Kennedy. That's a must. They are demonizing him as much- or more- than ever. But, they realize that the Single Bullet Theory is just too far-fetched to retain. It's got to go. It's time to give it the heave-ho, and that's what they're doing.

So, they grant that there were other shooters, which means a conspiracy. But, just think about how long they have been trashing conspiracy theorists. And now they're joining them? Fancy that.

But, this is a very calculated thing. What they do is grant that there was a conspiracy, which means that somebody put Oswald and the other shooters up to it. But who? You certainly don't want it to be the CIA or the FBI or Lyndon Johnson or the Joint Chiefs or anybody who could besmirch the good name of the government of the United States of America. So, you talk vaguely about the Russians and the Cubans, but then you settle on the Mafia. That's where it lands.

After all, the Mafia are bad guys to begin with, bad guys by definition, bad guys through and through, so you're not losing anything by besmirching them. You haven't given up a thing. And that way, you keep the core of what the government claimed, which is that Oswald did it, but you get around the preposterous Single Bullet Theory, and that way everybody you care about goes home in one piece.

That's exactly what they did last night on Fox News and what they did a couple of nights before on CNN.

So, where does that leave us, the true JFK truthers? It leaves us with the realization that we need Oswald-in-the-doorway, and nothing else is going to win this for us. They've already given up the SBT. They realize that that ship is doomed and is going down as sure as the Titanic. But, they think they can save themselves (from having lied for 50 years) and even save the government by seguing into the HSCA crock of bull.

It's stupid because the Mafia didn't kill Kennedy. Oh, they were brought into it to provide some shooters, and it wasn't the first time the CIA did business with the Mafia, nor was it the last, but they weren't the ones calling the shots. Lyndon Johnson, James Jesus Angleton, J.Edgar Hoover, Allen Dulles, John McCloy, Nelson Rockefeller, and the big Texas oilmen like H L Hunt and Clint Murchison were the movers and shakers behind the JFK assassination. But, how sweet it is if you can blame it all on that shadowy group known as the Mafia. The American flag isn't wrapped around the Mafia. It's OK to blame the Mafia. It's safe to blame the Mafia.

But again, would the Mafia have chosen Lee Harvey Oswald to be raining bullets down on Dealey Plaza? How many times do I have to say that LHO was not an assassin and was not even a marksman? He's just a guy who did the minimal amount of shooting required by the Marines.

It was comical what they were saying on that program on Fox last night, that Oswald was being sent to Cuba to kill Castro, that Oswald was having meetings with Carlos Marcello in New Orleans about killing Kennedy.

Oswald had just spent 3 years working in a radio factory in Minsk, Russia, and now suddenly he's meeting with major American crime bosses to assassinate the President of the United States? It's like a macabre version of Forest Gump.

But, odds are great that they are going to keep going with this: that Oswald was part of a conspiracy that involved multiple shooters who were put up to it by major crime bosses.

We have to fight this, and the best way to fight it is point out that Oswald wasn't a shooter at all. He was standing in the doorway at the time of the shots, and we can see him there both in the Altgens photo and the Wiegman film.

There is only one antidote to the bait and switch they're trying to pull at this time, and that is: Oswald in the doorway. I hope you realize that.
