Linda Simpson Ralph these are people who wouldn't get the meaning of your film if you hit them over the head with it. It's like they can't see the forest for the trees. They should neither be watching independent films nor critiquing them. Especially on deep and complicated subjects such as yours is. It's like you said and I am sure you hit the nail on the head. They are already trying to kill the messenger with inane trivia in order to discredit the film. They have failed! Because despite their ridiculous assertions, the meaning of this film comes through loud and clear because it is so well done and the acting is superb. I wouldn't give them a second thought. People with intelligence, empathy, and the ability to think critically will continue to give your film rave reviews.
