To this day, a lot of LNs and also some CTs maintain that Oswald claimed to have been in the lunch room during the assassination, that he said so out loud to interrogators. It is not true.
What it is based on, I believe, is the testimony of Will Fritz. When asked if Oswald revealed his whereabouts during the shooting, Fritz said that Oswald said he was eating lunch with other employees at the time.
That was a lie- a bold-faced lie. Oswald told Fritz that he ate lunch in the Domino room downstairs and that Junior Jarman and "another short negro" were around, the latter referring to Harold Norman. That was definitely BEFORE the assassination, well before it, because from there, Jarman and Norman went outside for a while and then relocated to the 5th floor window, right below the Sniper's Nest. Bonnie Ray Willams was also with them.
So, unless Oswald was up on the 5th floor with them eating his cheese sandwich and apple from Mrs. Paine's house, he was not eating lunch with other employees at the time of the motorcade
So, why did Fritz lie? He lied because he knew what was going on, and he knew what was expected of him, which was to support the official story that Oswald did it and did it alone.
What if he had told them the truth? "Oswald told me that during the shooting he was out with Bill Shelley in front. He said he was standing in the doorway of the Book Depository with the other employees."
I hope you realize that the whole idea of the Warren Report was for it to be a neat, tidy, little package, with no loose ends, no shocks, and no doubts. If the above statement had been included in the Warren Report, it would have destroyed it. If you think of the Warren Report like a balloon, that statement would have been like a sharp object popping the balloon and obliterating everything else in it. So, Will Fritz told the Warren Commission exactly what they wanted to hear: a lie.
So, we have Oswald in the Domino room eating his lunch, and it was before Junior Jarman and Harold Norman went outside in a roundabout way to get to the 5th floor. What time was it? According to Vincent Bugliosi, it was 12:15, but it may have been as late as 12:20. The next official sighting of Oswald was at 12:31 plus seconds in the 2nd floor lunch room by Truly and Baker. So, what did he do and where did he go during those 11 to 16 minutes?
Of course, he went outside, and why wouldn't he? What reason is there to think that Lee Harvey Oswald would have any less interest in seeing Kennedy than the other employees of the Book Depository? Oswald went to the library and checked out Kennedy's book and read it. How many of them do you think did that? Aren't there good and sound reasons to think that, if anything, Oswald had MORE reasons to be interested in seeing Kennedy than most of them?
And fortunately, more and more people are admitting that Oswald went out in the doorway. Some of them are falling for the Prayer Man nonsense, which is ridiculous when you consider that it is Doorman who is wearing Oswald's clothes and has Oswald's slender build. The only thing the other man had in common with Oswald is that they were both of the male gender. That's it. There is nothing else you can point to in the way of a match.
But, as I've said, it serves our interests that lemmings like Joseph Backes and Lance Upperpunk are getting behind Sean Murphy, who first thought Prayer Man was Shelley but now thinks he's Oswald. Poor Lance has had to change the name of his blog. Have you seen what he calls it now?
Oswald in the doorway (not where Cinque says he is, but close to it) Cinque is wrong, but not by much.
