Take a look at this crop from Muchmore. It shows Martin and Hargis before they disappear momentarily behind Brehm and Babushka. Notice how Martin is distinctly ahead of Hargis. What may have happened is that the limo suddenly slowed, almost to a stop because Greer hit the brakes. He slammed them. The motorcycle cops had to react to that by slowing themselves. But, Hargis may have responded more rapidly than Martin, which caused Martin to gain on him- momentarily.
