Think about it logically: if you're willing to lie about what Oswald did and create phony witnesses saying that he did things and said things, then obviously, you're not going to be bound to the truth about anything.
Bookout's report turned the events inside out and upside down.
Bookout has Oswald eating lunch AFTER his encounter with Truly and Baker, which is ridiculous. Then he has Oswald standing out in front with Bill Shelley at a time that Shelley could not possibly be there, as Shelley left the front steps immediately- before Truly and Baker even reached the building. But first note that Shelley admitted to not seeing Oswald between 11:50 and later at the PD.
Mr. BALL. On November 22, 1963, the day the President was shot, when is the last time you saw Oswald?
Mr. SHELLEY. It was 10 or 15 minutes before 12.
Mr. BALL. Where?
Mr. SHELLEY. On the first floor over near the telephone.
Mr. BALL. Did you ever see him again?
Mr. SHELLEY. At the police station when they brought him in.
Don't you think Shelley would have mentioned it if he had been milling around with Oswald out front after the assassination?
Mr. BALL. You went to the concrete between the two Elm Streets?
Mr. SHELLEY. Yes, where they split.
Mr. BALL. You went out there and then what did you do?
Mr. SHELLEY. Well, officers started running down to the railroad yards and Billy and I walked down that way.
Mr. BALL. How did you get down that way; what course did you take?
Mr. SHELLEY. We walked down the middle of the little street.
Mr. BALL. The dead-end street?
Mr. SHELLEY. Yes.
Mr. BALL. Did you see Truly, Mr. Truly and an officer go into the building?
Mr. SHELLEY. Yeah, we saw them right at the front of the building while we were on the island.
Mr. BALL. While you were out there before you walked to the railroad yards?
Mr. SHELLEY. Yes.
So, by his own admission, Shelley left with Lovelady and they went down to the railroad tracks. And note that when they returned, they went around through the parking lot to the back and entered through the freight door.
Mr. BALL. How did you happen to see Truly?
Mr. SHELLEY. We ran out on the island while some of the people that were out watching it from our building were walking back and we turned around and we saw an officer and Truly.
Mr. BALL. And Truly?
Mr. SHELLEY. Yes.
Mr. BALL. Did you see them go into the building?
Mr. SHELLEY. No; we didn't watch that long but they were at the first step like they were fixin' to go in.
Mr. BALL. Were they moving at the time, walking or running?
Mr. SHELLEY. Well, they were moving, yes.
Mr. BALL. Were they running?
Mr. SHELLEY. That, I couldn't swear to; there were so many people around.
Mr. BALL. What did you and Billy Lovelady do?
Mr. SHELLEY. We walked on down to the first railroad track there on the dead-end street and stood there and watched them searching cars down there in the parking lots for a little while and then we came in through our parking lot at the west end.
Mr. BALL. At the west end?
Mr. SHELLEY. Yes; and then in the side door into the shipping room.
Mr. BALL. When you came into the shipping room did you see anybody?
Mr. SHELLEY. I saw Eddie Piper.
Lovelady said the same thing, that they never returned to the front but went around to the back.
Mr. BALL - After you ran to the railroad tracks you came back and went in the back door of the building?
Mr. LOVELADY - Right.
Mr. BALL - Did you go in through the docks, the wide open door or did you go in the ordinary Small door?
Mr. LOVELADY - You know where we park our trucks--that door; we have a little door.
Mr. BALL - That is where you went in, that little door?
Mr. LOVELADY - That's right.
Mr. BALL - That would be the north end of the building?
Mr. LOVELADY - That would be the west end, wouldn't it?
Mr. BALL - Is it the one right off Houston Street?
Mr. LOVELADY - No; you are thinking about another dock.
Mr. BALL - I am?
Mr. LOVELADY - Yes; we have two.
Mr. BALL - Do you have a dock on the west side and one on the north side of the building?
Mr. LOVELADY - East, and well, it would be east and west but you enter it from the south side.
Mr. BALL - Now, the south side---
Mr. LOVELADY - Elm Street is that little dead-end street.
Mr. BALL - That's south.
Mr. LOVELADY - I drive my truck here (indicating) but we came in from this direction; that would have to be west.
Mr. BALL - You came into the building from the west side?
Mr. LOVELADY - Right.
Mr. BALL - Where did you go into the building?
Mr. LOVELADY - Through that, those raised-up doors.
Mr. BALL - Through the raised-up doors?
Mr. LOVELADY - Through that double door that we in the morning when we get there we raised. There's a fire door and they have two wooden doors between it.
Mr. BALL - You came in through the first floor?
Mr. LOVELADY - Right.
Therefore, Bookout's account of Oswald having his encounter with Truly and Baker and getting a Coke and then eating lunch downstairs and then going "Out with Bill Shelley in front" was a gross revision and reordering of the facts. The proper order was
1. the eating of lunch came first and that was in the Domino room in the presence of Junior Jarman and Harold Norman, probably about 12:20. Vincent Bugliosi says 12:15.
2. his going to the 2nd floor lunch room came next, where he was seen by Carolyn Arnold. That may have been as late as 12:25, but could have been a little earlier.
3. Oswald went outside to watch the motorcade, and that's when he was "out with Bill Shelley in front"
4. Oswald left he doorway, probably on order of Bill Shelley, and went to the 2nd floor lunch room. He had his encounter with Truly and Baker and only after that did he get a Coke.
5. He walked through the office where he was observed by Mrs. Reid. He went downstairs and up to the front where he gave two people directions to the pay phone.
6. Then he went outside where he was seen by some children engaging with Jack Ruby.
7. Then he left Dealey Plaza.
If you look at the Fritz Notes, he drew a big 1st and an arrow to indicate what happened first. Where is the arrow pointing? It is pointing to: to 1st floor had lunch.
Yes, the lunch came first. Of course, it came first. Nobody was going to wait to eat. They were let off work at 11:45 so that they had plenty of time to eat lunch, empty their bladders, evacuate their bowels, get all the biological stuff out of the way so that they'd be unencumbered with anything alimentary during the motorcade. That was the whole idea.
So, we've got Fritz lying in saying that Oswald was eating during the motorcade, but the lying Bookout takes it one step beyond to where Oswald is eating his lunch AFTER the whole thing is over. Filthy, dirty, rotten liar. But hey! If you're willing to fake a whole bus ride and cab ride, you're certainly not going to hesitate to lie about when he had lunch. What a bastard. Bookout had blood on his hands.
