If Oswald committed the assassination, and they had evidence against him, his citing the conversation with Junior Jarman would not save him. It wouldn't change anything, and his mere citing of it would raise suspicion. It would really be stupid of him to think that that was going to get him off the hook. And for these stupid people to assume that about him is just another maligning of Oswald.
DA Wade: "Forget about it. Oswald's got an air-tight alibi. He had a conversation with someone that morning about why people were gathering on the sidewalk. So that rules him out. Tell the guys at the lab to call it off. And that puts us back at Square 1. Who could have shot the President? Who? Who? Who?"
It's just ridiculous. It's a just a childish retort from childish people who issue their shit without thinking it through. Oswald was creating an alibi; it sounded good at the time.
And by the way, Backes: you can't join in on supporting this because you pretend to be an Oswald-innocent CT. And if Oswald was innocent, he had NO reason to create any alibis at all. It means that Oswald asked Junior Jarman why people were gathering on the sidewalk because he really didn't know. He did not know that the President's motorcade would be passing by the building that day.
