It's important to remember that there were quite a few seconds between the Towner frame and the Altgens photo. The Towner frame came first. The limo as still at the top of Dealey Plaza. It hadn't even passed the obelisk yet.  Kennedy hadn't been shot. He was still waving at the crowd.

But, in the Altgens, the limo is down the hill; Kennedy has been shot; and he is reacting to being shot. And, the limo traveled that distance at a very slow speed.

So, in this case, you can't make any assumptions about the Fedora Man being in the same spot.

Jack Ruby was there watching the motorcade, but he was in on the plot. Julia Mercer saw him deliver men and weapons to Dealey Plaza earlier that morning. And he knew that the TSBD behind him was crucial to the plot. He knew that that's where the patsy was. He must have feared and wondered if Oswald was going to come venturing out. So, besides watching the motorcade, he was keeping his eyes on that doorway- hence his perfect location to monitor both. And Oswald DID venture out, and Ruby must have freaked when he did. And Oswald became his focus.

So, don't try to correlate the Altgens Woman and Boy to Fedora Man and the Towner Woman and Baby to their Fedora Man because neither was there. I said: neither Madonna and Child were there. And you can't even assume that Fedora Man was in the same place in both, and he certainly was not oriented the same way in both. In Towner, Ruby hadn't seen Oswald yet; in Altgens, he did. Seeing Oswald in the doorway moves a person.
