Thank you, Sol Corona, and now, let's compare

On the left the woman has the child cradled in her arm, where the child is leaning back against her upper arm, and then her forearm is coming over to grasp the girl's upper thigh. So, she is, in effect, holding the girl TWICE but with one arm. Her upper arm is providing support and so are her forearm and hand. Plus, she's leaning the girl out to the limit of the stretch which exploits the tensile strength of her own connective tissues. It's another way of getting counterbalance.

Now, if the girl on the right was being cradled the same way, we'd see the woman's arm doing it. Kennedy's head isn't obstructing anything. But, her arm is nowhere to be seen. Plus, the girl isn't leaning back, which means there is no recruitment of the tensile strength of the tissues. Plus, the girl on the right is lower. Look where how low her feet are- halfway down the woman's thigh. The other girl's feet are at the level of the woman's crotch. If the woman on the right were doing the same thing, the girl would be higher because the woman's arm is higher.

So, this new picture just demonstrates a real way of supporting the child in contrast to the impossible way that's seen on the right.
