Gary Wood posted the bogus image on the right of Lovelady with some facial details in the shadow. It is completely fraudulent. It is art.

The Altgens Doorway is a very small part of the photograph, and it takes major enlargement to get to a practical, workable view of that doorway. And you know what enlarging does to a digital image; it distorts it.

So, how far can you go in enlarging it? That is a matter of technical debate, but it also depends on your intent because this is the JFK assassination, where evil intent abounds.

The best scan of the Altgens Doorway that I have ever seen is the one done by Dennis Cimino, and it's my go-to one. I have it displayed on the left in this collage, and next to it is the bogus one that Gary Wood posted, and next to it is Yosemite Sam from the Bugs Bunny cartoons, who was apparently the inspiration for Gary's bogus image.

There is some very faint markings in the field of Dennis Ciminos's scan, as well, but I say: do NOT try to decipher it. There is no intelligence there. Don't even begin to think that there is usable data there. There is not. There is nothing to see, and nothing to act on. Treat it as noise.
