 The fact is: they went bonkers over Ruby's hair. They got carried away. They gave the artists full sway. They just told them to get some hair on him.

On the left is Ruby's catwalk, his first insertion into the story, when they brought him down from the 5th floor (where he had been held since 10:20) to be displayed to cameramen and reporters. The time was 3:00. But, look how they did his hair. I put the Bob Marlee photo next to it just for contrast. Holy Cow. "Pay no attention to the man with the fluctuating hair."
