If Ruby shot Oswald on order of the Mob, why did he show up an hour and twenty minutes late? I'm told that the Mob frowns on tardiness.

But, him showing up an hour and twenty minutes late isn't the only weird thing. The other werid thing is that it all began right after he got there. It was like a minute later. It may have been less than a minute later.
Do you know how at a surprise birthday party, the party begins as soon as the guest of honor arrives? Well, that's what this reminds me of.
So, not only did Ruby "luck out" that the jail transfer got delayed by an hour and twenty minutes, but, by a quirk of fate, he arrived in just in the nick of time, where it all began right after he got there. It was like they were waiting for him.
And, the truth is, they WERE waiting for him. However, it wasn't an hour and twenty minutes past the scheduled jail transfer. It was more like twenty minutes after it.
Recall that I said that Ruby told the WC that he sent the money wire at 10:17, and that's what happened. Ruby had it right. He was grabbed in that garage an hour before the Garage Spectacle went down, and he was held on the 5th floor during it.
Two books reported that Ruby was stripped to his underwear up on the 5th floor. One was Reclaiming History by VIncent Bugliosi, and the other was Moment of Madness by Elmer Gertz, who was one of Ruby's lawyers.
So, why would Dallas Police strip Ruby to his underwear? And it's something that they did right away, as soon as they got him upstairs, according to both books.
But, it gets weirder than that because they actually had him take off his underwaer and give it it to them. That's right; they wanted Jack Ruby's soiled underwear. At least, that's what they claimed.
You don't believe me? Well, here's his property invoice that says "1 set underwear." It's close to the bottom.
But wait. Go bak to that invoice because they took his shoes too. Above where it says "1 set underewear" it says one pair of black les. shoes. I don't know what les. refers to. And it says that they were put in Bin N30. Do you believe that? Do you think they had bins at the Dallas PD? And if they had Bin N, doesn't that mean they had Bin A, Bin B, Bin C, Bin D, Bin E, Bin F, Bin G, Bin H, Bin I, Bin J, Bin K, Bin L, and Bin M? And if they had Bin N30, doesn't that mean they had Bin N1, Bin N2, Bin N3, Bin N4, Bin N5, Bin N6, Bin N7, Bin N8, Bin N9, Bin N10, Bin N11, Bin N12, Bin N13, Bin N14, Bin N15, Bin N16, Bin N17, Bin N18, Bin N19, Bin N20, Bin N21, Bin N22, Bin N23, Bin N24, Bin N25, Bin N26, Bin N27, Bin N28, and Bin N29?
But, this was a City Jail, and they don't give clothes to prisoners at a City Jail because they're not there that long. As soon as they are arraigned (and the Constitution guarantees a speeedy arraignment; it's in the Bill of Rights) they are either released or remanded to the County Jail. And that's exactly what happened to Ruby; The next morning he was transferred to the County Jail.
So, was it really necessary to change Ruby's underwear? They didn't change Oswald's underwear. They didn't change any of his clothes. They never gave him any clothes. Even on Sunday morning, he wore his own clothes, which were gotten from his boarding room.
So, why did they do all that to Ruby? Well, they needed his clothes for two reasons: First, they had to give his suit to Bookhout to wear, since he had to look like Ruby. And second, they had to get that paperwork from Western Union and replace it with new paperwork that said 11:17 instead of 10:17.
And then, they had to addresss the issue of why the Shooter was wearing dressy wingtips and light socks in the Jackson photo, while Ruby wore black, high-top, work shoes and black socks in his mug shot.
So, to resolve that discrepancy, they made it that Ruby's dressy wingtips were replaced with the jail-issued work shoes, and his light socks were replaced with jet black socks; socks being part of the 1 set of underwear.
But personally, I think they should have just quit at the socks. Why'd they have to bring his soiled underwear into it? Which they put in a bin? Had they no hampers at the DPD? And what happened to them afterwards? Were they ever returned to him? I hope they laundered them first. So, did they have a laundry at the DPD? Or did they send everything out?
