The Idiot Backes is once again defending the establishment over the killing of Oswald. He's quick to absolve the police, including Fritz and Leavelle, of any wrong-doing. The fool thinks they concocted a bus ride and a cab ride, presumably to hide the fact that somebody gave Oswald a lift home, but of course they had nothing to do with his murder. They only had to move him about 20 yards from the building to an armored vehicle with an army of police to do it, and yet they couldn't stop Jack Ruby. How could they know? What could they do?
In the 30 minutes prior to the killing, WFAA was broadcasting, and the entire theme of their broadcast was that somebody might try to kill Oswald. They kept saying it over and over.
How hard was it to protect Oswald? How many directions could an attack have come from? Only one, the direction Ruby came from.
How hard would it have been to cordon off the whole area? Not hard at all because it wasn't that big of an area.
Why here is Jim Leavelle looking to his right when he had to know that any attack on Oswald had to come from his left?
He should be looking the other way. He should be looking the other way. He should be looking the other way. So why isn't he looking the other way?
What excuse is there for him not seeing Ruby by this point? What excuse is there for Joseph Backes to accuse the Dallas police of concocting a complex story about Oswald's trip home and producing phony, lying witnesses for it, but for him to shrug this off?
Nothing to see here. A man can only do what a man can do. It's a shame what happened, but they tried their best. They did all they could. They left no stone unturned to protect Oswald, but that sly Jack Ruby just got through their dragnet, and there was nothing they could do.
In fact, just this year, Detective Jim Leavelle was given an award by Dallas Police for his actions that day. In accepting it, Leavelle said that he tried to pull Oswald out of harm's way. Bull shit. He did nothing of the kind. He didn't begin to react until after Oswald was fatally shot, and you can see that in the footage.
Why would a conspiracy advocate defend this? God, that's sick.
