Linda and I watched a movie this past weekend called DINNER WITH FRIENDS, and there was an actress in it who looked like this:

When I saw her, I knew I had seen her before onscreen, but I couldn't remember where. I had to rack my brain. But then it hit me: she was from ABOUT A BOY. However, it was a very different role for her in that movie.

In ABOUT A BOY, she played the single mother of a boy named Marcus who befriends the lead character played by Hugh Grant, who had decided to target single mothers in his clever dating scheme. However, it was crucial to the story that he NOT be the least bit attracted to her. So, she had to be unattractive. And to accomplish that, they relied mainly on minimizing her hair.

Sometimes they just covered her hair with goofy hats.

Here she is side by side with herself.

It's only fair to point out that she seems to be without makeup on the left, whereas she is made up glamorously on the right. And, I won't deny that makeup contributes to female beauty, although I, for one, definitely prefer light makeup on women. A little is OK, but a lot detracts from their looks. That is my considered opinion, and I have long felt that way.

But, the point is that HAIR contributes mightily to a person's look. The way it frames the face, the way it shapes the head, hair is a dominating feature of a person's look, whether they are male or female. And that includes Lee Harvey Oswald.

The conspirators were very clever when they decided to "Loveladify" Oswald by moving over the hairline of Young Lovelady.

There were other things they could have done or tried to do but this was something that was fast, easy, and accessible. And it got the job done.

Of course, Doorman is still wearing Oswald's clothes and not Lovelady's.

And that guy on the right above wasn't even Lovelady. Here it is using the real Lovelady in the real clothes he said he wore that day:

Hey, take your pick. In neither one is Lovelady dressed like Doorman or Oswald, who are dressed the same. Doorman's shirt isn't plaid, and it isn't striped either, and that is something that Harold Weisberg pointed out decades ago.

Installing Young Lovelady's hair on Doorman was the cardinal thing the conspirators did to convert Lee Oswald into Billy Lovelady in the Altgens photo. However, unfortunately for them, it didn't work; we can see what they did.
