It's really very simple, Backes. See if you can follow the logic.

1) There were definitely two different cops. We know that because they were of different heights, and their uniforms were different, one embellished, the other not.

2. Now, the first one was definitely there around 2 o'clock. We know that because Oswald got arrested at 1:45 and was driven to City Hall at 1:51, and had to get there right before 2 as he began his trek through the building.

3. Now, since they were different films, and there is no chance that the short cop handed Oswald off to the tall cop at that time, it means that the tall cop must have been with Oswald at another time, another circumstance. And since 2:00 only happens once, it could not have been at 2:00. Therefore, the clock in the room with him which says 2:00 must be phony. How could he be with Oswald at 2 when the other cop was with Oswald at 2?

So, why would they, the conspirators, want to make this incident appear to be happening at 2 PM? Obviously, they wanted to connect it with Oswald's arrival and processing. So, this film splicing, which you and others have called "editing", wasn't so innocent after all; it was a way to lie.

4. But, the reason they had to make this seem like a part of Oswald's arrival and processing is because it coincided with Lovelady's timeline for being there. They put Lovelady in that film (and it wasn't necessarily Lovelady). But, Lovelady's arrival coincided rather closely with Oswald's arrival, so it was a credible way to explain how their paths crossed.

It's all fabrication. Lovelady NEVER in his life claimed any of this. Mrs. Lovelady, who was far more vocal than he was, never claimed it either. When she called Harold Weisberg to champion her husband as Doorman, she never mentioned it. She obviously didn't know about it. She didn't know about it because her husband didn't tell her. And he didn't tell her because it never happened.
