So, here's the bottom line on the whole Vicki Adams affair. Had Oswald been on the 6th floor and descended at the same time as Vicki, she would have been ahead of him, so she wouldn't have seen him. But, Oswald, theoretically, would have had to squeeze out of the Sniper's Nest, wipe the rifle down (since his fingerprints weren't on it) and then run to the other side of the 6th floor, climb over a stack of boxes to hide the rifle, and then hurry back to the stairwell. He had to do all that BEFORE he could begin his descent. But, Vicki had nothing to do but start bolting down the stairs. So, she wasn't going to see him or run into him since he was going to stop at the 2nd floor and she wasn't. But, theoretically, she could have heard him above her. But, of course she didn't hear him above her because he wasn't there.
Regarding Baker and Truly, the most likely thing is that she simply beat them to the punch. While she was racing down the stairs, Baker was racing towards the building. And by the time he got inside and was hastening across the first floor to reach the back elevator and stairs, she must have had her back to him as she was heading out the Houston Street entrance OR she was already outside. And that's why she didn't see him.
Remember, it's pretty easy to go downstairs because gravity is doing most of the work. The stairs weren't far from the window she was looking out of, so how long would it have taken her to reach the bottom? I'm thinking she could have reached the first floor in less than 30 seconds.
Regarding Shelley and Lovelady, according to Barry Ernest, Vicki denied having any encounter with them, and Sylvia Styles, who was with her, also denied it. So, there is no need to discredit the "trek to the tracks."
There are only two choices about all this: either she beat Baker downstairs or Baker beat her upstairs. The latter is what the WC claimed what happened, but it's ridiculous. They claimed that she didn't start her descent until after Baker and Truly had gotten past the 4th floor. But, it's absurd. Clearly, what happened is that she beat them. She got downstairs and over to the Houston street entrance before they had any chance of encountering her on the first floor.
What the Warren Commission did was take advantage of the fact that Shelley and Lovelady were delayed in coming back inside to discredit her. They didn't invent the trek to the tracks. They exploited it.
