As I said, we of the OIC have been brainstorming this supposed match that Doug Campbell and the Conspiracy Cretin Rob Clark found. And this just came in from in Phil Nelson, author of LBJ: Mastermind of the JFK Assassination:

"I agree with Pat and Jim, these are two different men.  The only reason they're being compared is because they happened to be in the same area at the same time and both had similar suits on . . .  but they clearly wore different ties which were tied differently, to hang at different lengths. Otherwise, there is no similarity in body or facial features."

Phil

And here's what Pat Shannon said:

"Forget about it. Look at the length of each tie. Obviously two different people. Fetzer's right. Don't be conned by this cheapshot."

Pat

Of course, I've had more time to think about it myself, and my judgment is that they are DEFINITELY not the same man. Their faces are DIFFERENT. Their ages are DIFFERENT. Their body carriage is DIFFERENT. Their heights are DIFFERENT. The lengths of their ties are DIFFERENT. And, the shape of their heads is DIFFERENT.

Now, let's count the ways that Doug Campbell lied. He said they both had a handkerchief in the shirt pocket. LIE. Neither does from what we can see. He said they both had tie pins. LIE. Only one does, and his tie is much longer. He said they both had their hand in their pocket the same way. LIE. The Bush-like figure has his hand in his right pant pocket, which was a frequent habit of Bush. The other man has no hand going into his pocket. He said their belts were the same. LIE. No such thing can be discerned.

Now, I agree with Phil Nelson to a point, but alas, I have a more suspicious mind than he does. Does it mean I have a darker view of humanity? Perhaps. But, be that as it may, I have to wonder if there was some malfeasance involved here. I mean, if they were going to make this claim, why did they wait until July 2014? The clamor about George Bush being on the sidewalk in front of the TSBD has been going on for years. So, why didn't someone proffer the other image before now? What took so long? Robin Unger has had a William Allen gallery on his site for years. Did neither he nor anyone else notice it before?  In the midst of all this controversy?

And why lie? Why exaggerate? Doug Campbell went on and on as though there were no discrepancies at all, as though every last detail matched between the two. He even made up some. Of course, the audience wasn't able to view the images at the time, but that only made it worse.

So, why do they lie?  And to put it more aptly: Why do they think they can lie and get away with it?
