This frame shows you the relative size of the signs on the other side of Houston Street to Hughes.

Soon, there is a noticeable jostle in the films. It happens at the 34 second mark. Here is the last frame before it jumps.

You see that it says 0.34 in the lower left. And you see the street signs on the right. Then when it jumps we get our first glimpse of the big signs. Notice that it still says 0.34, and notice that there is a much smaller sign across the street (circled).

And we can go back and add the other sign.

Here they are with the signs circled.

Now, let's take a closer look at the large set on the left.

You notice that on the left, the lower sign is larger than the upper sign. And this is directly from the movie. It is the only thing I am willing to go by.

Notice that on the left, the upper sign is practically a square. Take a ruler to it if you want. But on the right, it is a narrow rectangle.

And on the left, the lower sign is very much longer. In fact, the disparity in the size and shape of the two signs on the left are in sharp contrast the perfect equality of the two signs on the right. In fact, the lower sign on the left is not only much longer, it is slightly wider than the one above.

You can't perform that trick on the right.

Here is the last frame before the Hughes film says goodbye to those big looming signs.

The bottom line is that those looming signs remain under a cloud of suspicion. I look at the big picture below, and I am not buying it.
