I wish to publicly thank Jerry Policoff, the director of the Assassination Archives and Research Center for calling me today to express his sympathy to me for Joseph Backes' appalling attacks against me, which Jerry described as "disgusting".  As Linda said, "it's pretty amazing that he made that call," and I agree.

Jerry made it clear that they do not condone what Backes is doing, and that includes himself and the President of the AARC, Attorney James Lesar. Jerry brought this deplorable situation to Mr. Lesar's attention, and he was equally appalled.

Jerry and I spoke for well over an hour, and I learned a lot from him about the organizational side of the JFK community, including AARC, CTKA, COPA, and a now defunct organization called the AIB which stood for the Assassination Information Bureau.

And he finished by giving me his personal contact information so that we can stay in close touch. Jerry sounds like a class act to me, and I am very grateful for the courtesy and respect he showed me.
