Robert Oswald reportedly said that the person on the right is his mother, and the one on the left is unknown, perhaps one of her sisters. But that is ridiculous. The year was 1922, so Marguerite Claverie would have been 15 years old. Which one of these looks to be a 15 year old girl?
The one on the left is his mother, and the one on the right is either her mother or perhaps an aunt. They do look very much alike. But, that is definitely his mother on the left. I'm calling you a liar, Robert Oswald.
