Some months ago, I did my own analysis of Richard Hooke's 50 Points of Light, and I was able to confirm most of them, about 35 of his matches. There were a few I outright disagreed with, and there were also some that were so small that I felt I couldn't be sure. But overall, it amounted to a confirmation of his work. After all, even 35 matching points of light is more than enough to clinch that they're the same man.
But, there is one match-up I don't mind that he made but I wish he had labelled it differently. I am referring to the marks on Oswald's chin. Richard has it labeled as interrogation scars from when he was held by New Orleans police, where they supposedly burned him repeatedly with a lite cigarette.
I know where Richard got it from: Judyth Baker. But, I ask the group to seriously re-consider the likelihood of it being true.
Torture is much more common in military situations than in police situations, and torture is typically done to extract information from a prisoner. But, what information could New Orleans police have wanted to extract from Oswald? Tell us X or else? What would X be?
My understanding is that he was arrested for "disturbing the peace" after a fight broke out between him and anti-Castro Cubans when he was giving out pro-Castro flyers. New Orleans Police held him for exactly one night.
So, what information were they trying to extract from him? Tell us what or else? You think they cared that much about his pro-Castro activities to torture him? You think they wanted to know who he was associated with? He wasn't associated with anybody. He was the whole New Orleans chapter of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. It was just him. You really think they would have tortured him over that?
And if they were going to inflict pain and suffering on him, wouldn't they do it in a way that didn't leave scars? Otherwise, he'd be a walking billboard for New Orleans police torture. Here are images of what cigarette burns look like:
Of course, they look the worst when they're fresh, so he would have come out of there looking like a fright.
During his very brief incarceration in New Orleans, Oswald was visited 3X by an FBI officer. Don't you think that guy would have noticed the freshly inflicted burns and said, "W the F?" Don't you think other people would have noticed it when Oswald got out? Why is it that the only person in the world who says it happened is Judyth Baker? Don't you think Oswald's own wife Marina would have noticed the next time she saw him that he had facial burns on his chin that weren't there before?
The more you think about it, the more you realize that it is ridiculous What, two cops held Oswald down while another burned him with a lite cigarette over and over? "Tell us who the President of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee is we'll take your eyes out." Something like that?
I don't know what those marks were on Oswald's chin, but it may have been just a little peri-oral acne. He was 24. It happens to many people.
So, what is going on here? I'll tell you what is going on here: It's the spell of Judyth Baker. Some people are just under her spell where they accept whatever she says: unwittingly and uncritically.
I realize that, on this forum, I may be in the minority in doubting Judyth. But to those who believe her, could you at least apply some common sense filters? Is that too much to ask? Would you at least think twice about the things she says and consider the possibility that some of them may not be true? That's all I ask.
