Richard Hooke thinks that Jack Ruby got to Oswald at the PD and told him to lie and say he rode the bus. "Psst. Say you rode the bus. A bus. Make it a bus."

But, I have a feeling that Lee would have thought about it more than Richard has and realized that police wouldn't have left it at that. They would have likely wanted details. Where did you get on? What street? What time? Where did you sit? Where did you get off? How long did you ride?

Oswald would have had to wing it- improvise on the spot, make it up as he went along - and done it without the least bit of hesitation or stumble. It's not like everybody is good at doing improv.

But wait! The next day Oswald added that he rode the cab. So, why did he do that? Did Ruby get to him again and say: "Psst. Say you took a cab. Add a cab. Gotta say cab."

Richard says the Dallas Police added the cab to get the timing right for the Tippit killing, but why did Oswald also add the cab to his story?

Are you going to doubt that Oswald said he took a cab? But, it's in the Fritz Notes, just like "out with Bill Shelley in front". And these were notes that Fritz took for himself and never admitted to having. He denied having them. He went to his grave denying it.

And Oswald even gave the cab fare: eighty-five cents. Whaley said it was ninety-five, but I figure one of them, and probably Oswald, was mistaken.

I don't see how you can doubt that Oswald said he rode the cab. So, why did he say it? He, obviously, wasn't trying to coordinate with the Tippit murder.

And again: Oswald could not have known that he would be available to leave work at 12:40, so he could not have arranged for a pick-up. Plus, he had no friends. Therefore, the only one who could have arranged it were his handlers. But, why would they have done it when they wanted him to be the lone gunman? What good is it if your lone gunman has a getaway driver? If they thought it would look good for Oswald to use public transportation why wouldn't they let him? It was his only other recourse, right?
