I just realized something: We know that Oswald was not put into that supply room in back that the big cop took him to, and that means that there had to be a great reversal where they moved Oswald back out through the same room, going back past Lovelady in the other direction. So, why don't we see it in the film?
Here's why: It's because that would have necessitated another rendering of Lovelady. And since they never had an initial rendering, they didn't want to have to recreate it with more flim-flam so that he would seem to be there for the reversal of the procession.
Otherwise, how do you account for the cameras being turned off? Is it because the big cop, besides saying, "Back the hell up" as bpete suggests, also said, "And turn off your God-damn cameras." That doesn't seem likely.
It jumps from this to this:
And it's a huge problem for two reasons, the first being the vast amount of missing frames getting from A to B, and the second being the whole idea of photogs shooting other photogs when they could be shooting Oswald.
So, what happened to all those frames? Why were they chosen to be edited out? Odds are very great that the cameras kept rolling. There is no reason to think otherwise. But the reason they were edited out is precisely because Lovelady WASN'T there. And they didn't want to have to go through the whole ordeal again of concocting him into the film. So, they just scrapped it.
And realize that anyone who disagrees with this still has to account for the huge hole in the story. The fact is that the whole reversal of the procession is missing. And the most logical reason is because they did not want the trouble of depicting Lovelady again. He wasn't really there going in, so naturally, he wasn't really there going out.
