There was only so much they could do to make those guys look like the same person, but putting them in the same clothes was an EASY thing they could do, and did, and it took them far in support of the gag.
It's the same way with the figures below- and much more so. But, the difference is that nobody put them in those matching clothes. There was no set-up. Everything we see occurred spontaneously.
The top two are a gag. The bottom two are not a gag. The top two contain glitches, such as the real Nic wearing a ring and the other not. And, their watches are different. But, there are no glitches with the bottom two. Bodily, there are plenty of divergences between Nic and the other guy, including posturally. The real Nic is older; the other guy is younger. So, Nic is sitting more compressed and contracted. The other guy is sitting more expanded and erect.
There is a big difference there in their head/neck balance. The real Nic is shortening his neck more. And his whole spine. But, the other isn't pushing down so much through his neck and spine; so he has more lengthening going on. Think of it like a spring. Nic's spring is more compressed; more tightly wound. The other guy is sitting straighter, and not just straighter but more upright, with much better lengthening. Lengthening is good. You could also say that he is more relaxed. Imagine that: the young comic is sitting more relaxed than the seasoned movie star. But, Nic is older, and the older we get, the more compressed we get, as with these two:
Which one is younger? The one who is more lengthened. Think of it this way:
When you're young, you're going up; when you're old, you're going down.
But getting back to this really crucial couple:
Oh, and by the way, I shaved off the very top of their heads, what I call their "caps". That's because some evil people messed with Doorman's cap to create a divergence that didn't exist, that wasn't there. But with that phony difference removed, now they are in perfect harmony. If only there was this much harmony in the universe.
