Backass thinks the Sims document about finding the bus transfer ticket is fake. Fake, fake, fake. That's fake, but there is nothing fake about the Altgens photo. That's fake, but nothing in the footage of Oswald at the DPD was faked. That's fake, but there was no tampering with the Zapruder film, the Towner film, the Hughes film, the Martin film, the Wiegman film or any other film. Every JFK-related image is lily-white and pure, according to Backes. It never even occurred to them to alter any images, says he. 

The fact is that the JFK assassination was NOT a Dallas plot. It was not a plot of the Dallas Police Department. The DPD felt a lot of pressure from the FBI, the Secret Service, the office of the Vice President, and other feds to hone in on Oswald and rapidly arrive at his exclusive involvement. But, it all came down AFTER the assassination, not before. Kennedy wasn't shot until 12:30. He wasn't declared dead until shortly after 1:00. Oswald wasn't apprehended until 1:45, and he didn't reach City Hall until 2:00. You can't tell me that during all that, the Dallas Police were engaged in assembling a phony story about how he moved around. And you can't tell me that the feds instructed the Dallas Police to erect the phony story. They weren't going to do that. They were never going to do that.  

You have to understand: from the moment Kennedy got shot, the official story became THE story. The only story. It wasn't the contrived story, the invented story, or the fictitious story. It was the one and only story. And they NEVER talked about it in ANY other way. And they certainly would NEVER have urged the Dallas Police to concoct a phony story with phony evidence and phony witnesses. That's because it wasn't necessary because: OSWALD WAS GUILTY. He really did it. And you don't have to frame a guilty man. 

So, the feds would never have pressured the the Dallas Police to do any such thing, and the Dallas Police would never have conceived of it themselves. The whole thing was conducted above board. It had the veneer of being proper and legit.  

The fact is: they couldn't concoct a big, complex story about what Oswald did, with phony evidence and phony witnesses, without talking frankly about what they were doing. And I assure you that there was no such talking going on. I bet you that even the organizers of the assassination- at the highest level- didn't talk about it again in real terms after it happened. You think they were going to have low-level minions at the Dallas PD out and about creating phony witnesses and phony evidence and talking about it? And that was supposed to keep the planners secure? Recruiting people into the conspiracy like Cecil McWatters and William Whaley and a batty old woman like Mary Bledsoe was going to keep the plotters safe? Wake up, dreamer! What have you got supporting this crazy idea other than your stupid imagination? Nothing. 

Claiming that the Dallas Police faked Oswald's bus and cab ride has been a terrible mistake of the JFK research community. Most of them do it in connection with the Roger Craig story, but Backes doesn't even bother with that. He doesn't need it. He does it on the basis of nothing. He just wants to believe it, and so he does. But, he's got nothing but piddling minutia. Hey! Oswald was in the doorway, and then he rode the bus and cab! And that is the plain truth. STOP INDULGING IN FANTASY!
